Fig. 03 / AI Discovery — curated set

Your library already has the sound you're reaching for.

Ask for "atmospheric textures with long tails" or "a complete lo-fi kit at 85 BPM" and Sample Vault pulls a curated set from your entire library or tells you what's missing from the arrangement.

/ 06 — Position

The kind of AI
that serves the producer.

Sample Vault's models exist to organise your library, not to replace your taste. We reject the idea that the producer is what software should automate.

/ 07 — Process

From a folder
to a searchable library.

Nothing leaves your disk unless you ask and the files stay exactly as you left them.

Step 01

Point it at your folders.

Add as many sample directories as you like. Sample Vault scans every audio file and builds a local index. Nothing is uploaded, moved, or renamed.

  • WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC and OGG
  • Multiple folders, multiple drives
  • Files stay on disk, untouched

Step 02

Analyse every file locally.

Each file is analysed on your machine. Key, tempo, brightness, complexity, stereo width — the metadata a file browser can't see. Free, offline, deterministic.

  • Key and scale from the audio itself
  • 40+ sonic characteristics per file
  • Filter and sort by any property

Step 03

Let AI fill in the labels.

An optional AI pass adds genre, mood, instrument, creator, and pack labels — then matches them back to individual samples. Deep Search runs on top of the whole index.

What producers say
after a few weeks in.

I was in the habit of spending over $200 USD a month on the latest and shiniest sample packs and didn’t know what I had already purchased.

Now I don’t buy anymore sample packs or even VST. Finally getting work done faster than I ever have.

What used to be endless scrolling through folders trying to find the right sound has turned into a quick, focused process.

I was skeptical of the modular dock layout at first, but I’ve come to really like it. Definitely worth checking out if you’re drowning in samples like the rest of us.

All of this is available completely free of charge, and many features like MIDI and preset support, sound manipulation, or sample diagnostics are already in the works.

I’m really excited to see how Sample Vault will continue to evolve and what features will be included in future updates!

/ 09 — Who built it

Made by a producer
who got tired of looking.

Hi, I'm Wojtek. I've loved music since I was twelve, and I've produced EDM as a hobby for the last four years.

I always felt that modern tech should be able to fully automate the tedious parts of making music and make it more fun. I set out to delegate them to AI so that producers can focus fully on the creative, human part that cannot be replaced by algorithms.

This is why I started building a sample manager that actually understands what your sounds are and helps you find and use them properly.

This is my passion project built on top of my day job as a software architect, and years working at startups. I read every email and message you send me, so feel free to tell me any thoughts about the project!
