Why is there a paid subscription?

Deep Tagging and cloud sync cost us real money to run: AI processing, storage, bandwidth. The paid plans cover that. The local app stays free because it runs on your machine, not ours, and that includes scanning, analysis, browsing and search.

Do I need to reorganize my sample library?

No. Point Sample Vault at the folders you already have. Files stay where they are, names stay as they are, and there's no folder structure you have to adopt. Paid plans also tidy the metadata: fixing categories by how samples sound, cleaning up genre and tag lists, building collections that keep filling themselves. None of that touches the files on disk.

Does Sample Vault generate sounds with AI?

No. Sample Vault doesn't generate audio. It labels the files you already own with key, BPM, genre, mood, instrument and about forty measured traits, so you can search by describing the sound instead of guessing at filenames.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Sample Vault isn't right for you, email us within 30 days of buying and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, at any time. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you've paid for, then the account drops to the free Demo Room plan. Anything you stored in the cloud is kept for 30 days, so you can download it or re-subscribe.

Can I use Sample Vault in a browser?

Yes, on Professional Suite. Sign in at samplevault.ai and click Open app. You get the same library and the same shortcuts, running against the samples you've uploaded to the cloud. Scanning, analysis and Ableton Link still need the desktop app. Demo Room, Home Studio and Lifetime are desktop only.

What is Deep Tagging, and what does it cover?

Every plan analyzes every sample on your machine for free: key, tempo and about forty measured traits. Deep Tagging is the paid pass on top. It reads each folder and gives every sample its real genre, creator and pack, plus a line you can search in plain words. Paid plans run it across your whole library, with no cap on size or count. Deep Search and the kit designer run under fair use on every paid plan. The assistant comes with a monthly allowance on Home Studio and is fair-use on Professional Suite.

Can I switch between plans?

You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. If you downgrade, you keep your current features until the end of the billing period, and anything stored in the cloud above your new plan's limit is kept for 30 days.
