/ 01 / Local fingerprint
Every file is fingerprinted in your browser. A short hex string captures what the audio sounds like, not its filename or its bytes. The file never leaves your machine.
/ 02 / Two-tier clustering
Fingerprints that match exactly are grouped first. Then we compare the remaining ones bit-by-bit and group those within a small distance: re-renders, bit-depth variants, and clean trims of the same source.
/ 03 / Keeper selection
Inside each cluster we pick the version most worth keeping. Lossless wins over MP3, higher bit-depth wins, paths with copy or (1) get penalised. The keeper is never touched.
/ 04 / Trash
Cleanup sends redundant copies to your system Trash / Recycle Bin. Restore from Finder or Explorer if you change your mind. Files are never deleted permanently.
