Decode, flip the sample order, re-encode. The page loads once and runs offline from there.
/ 01 — Sample-order reversal
Your file decodes into raw samples: tens of thousands of amplitude values per second. We write them back in the opposite order, last sample first. That is the whole operation. No filtering, no resampling, nothing else touches the audio.
/ 02 — Every channel, exact length
Stereo stays stereo. Each channel reverses independently, so left and right keep their relationship. Duration, sample rate, and channel count come out identical to what went in, and no sample value changes.
/ 03 — What reversing is for
A reversed sound ramps up instead of decaying. Reverse a crash cymbal and you have a riser. Reverse a piano chord or a vocal phrase and you have a swell into the drop. Producers have leaned on this since tape machines; the browser version takes seconds.
