Boilerplate

One-liner

Sample Vault is a sample browser that knows what your sounds actually sound like.

Boilerplate — ~125 words

Sample Vault is a desktop sample browser for producers whose libraries have outgrown their filenames. Point it at your folders and it analyses every file, reading key, tempo, loudness, stereo width, and sonic character, so you can search by describing a sound instead of remembering what you called the file. Drop a track into X-Ray and it lines up the closest sounds you already own. It doesn't sell sounds and doesn't generate audio — the whole job is finding what's already on your drive. Local analysis is free and runs on your machine, with nothing uploaded; an optional AI pass adds genres, creators, and pack names for deeper search. Sample Vault runs on Windows and macOS, drags into any DAW, and auditions in tempo with Ableton Link.

Quote them word for word or trim them to fit. You don't need to ask.

X-Ray — find the sounds you already own inside any track.

Drop any track into the X-Ray panel and highlight the part you want, whether that's a single hit or a whole phrase. The closest sounds from the producer's own library line up beneath it, ready to play or drag into a project. It all runs on the producer's machine. Nothing gets uploaded, and it's free.

  • Highlight a region and it plays straight away, while the matches below reshuffle to fit.
  • Keep or reject a match and the ranking adjusts around it. No starting from scratch.
  • Save a matched region into the library as an X-Ray Capture, or copy it straight to the clipboard.

/ 06 — What Sample Vault is not

What Sample Vault is not

Not a marketplace

It doesn't sell sounds or ship packs. It searches and organises the library you already own.

Not a generator

It never makes new audio. The whole job is finding and arranging files you already have, even when AI is doing the legwork.

Not a plugin

It runs on its own next to your DAW. Samples drag into any project, and Ableton Link keeps auditioning in tempo.

Not a cloud locker

Files stay on disk, and the analysis happens on the producer's machine. Paid plans add cloud backup, but only for the folders you opt in.
